The Department of Theatre Arts continues, in the tradition of its early years, to forge ahead as a leader in its comprehensive academic programs, producing quality theatrical presentations while developing the most outstanding African American talent on stage, screen and television. PRODUCTION SUPPORT
Each year the Department of Theatre Arts, offers a new season of thrilling productions and performance opportunities for fine young aspiring artists. Each production is a chance for the Department to bring the education of their students to life. Productions provide a way for students to participate actively in their education and train for their future.
ABOUT US
Founded in 2015, Friends of Theatre and Dance at Howard University, Inc., is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that serves as a support organization to the Howard University Department of Theatre Arts and its programs, fostering a distinctive program for the study of the performing arts, benefiting the development of emerging artists, cultivating social engagement, and connecting with established professionals in the arts community. Contributions make it possible for Friends of Theatre and Dance at Howard University, Inc., (FOTD@HU) to expand its offerings and provide scholarships to great students.
